It all starts from the head
Jerry, who in some translations for some reason was renamed "Jeri", as a restless child, does not sit still for a minute. He is ready for ages to wait for his friend-enemy Tom to do some dirty trick. Both characters can take the most incredible poses, so it's hardly worth drawing either of them standing at attention. It is better to draw in stages, and it is more convenient to start from the head. Jerry has a pretty big one. In terms of proportions, the figure of this character most closely resembles the body of a child. Draw a circle, and to make your character seem more natural, make the circle a little uneven - let the side that is closer to you be convex, and the farther one is flatter. Mark the places for the ears and nose. The nose can be sketched out immediately - it is a small irregular oval.
A well-sharpened hard pencil is more suitable for sketching. Draw details and contours softer.
Draw the ears
The mouse has large round ears. But, since he will stand to the viewer in a semi-profile, the circles turn into ovals, with one ear fully visible, and the other only partially. On the one closer to you, the line of connection to the head seems almost straight. This line will then need to be removed.
Mickey Mouse and the cat's friends Leopold will have exactly the same ears.
Torso
Jerry's body is about half the size of his head. It is a square with rounded corners or a trapezoid. It is not necessary to completely outline the contour, because the mouse has more hands for which you need to leave room. Draw short pants to the lower part of the body. The leg, which is closer to you, will be slightly wider than the second.
Arms and legs
Draw on the side that Jerry faces towards you, the shoulder - an arc. Continue the outer contour of this arc with a straight line so that it
ended up on the body of a mouse. Draw a parallel, straight line to it. Draw the second hand. It's just a strip, a little shorter than the first. In the pen, the mouse can hold, for example, cheese, ice cream, etc. Jerry's legs are two stripes located at an angle to each other. Draw the hands - they are quite large, and the feet are ovals.
Muzzle and the rest
You have the silhouette of a mouse ready. It remains to draw the details. Take a softer pencil. Draw the eyes - they are round and large for Jerry. Do not forget that the pupils must be in the same places of the circles, otherwise your mouse will look cross-eyed. Draw the face, mustache, eyelashes and a smiling mouth. Mark the folds of the clothes - wrinkles on the elbows, belt, pants. Draw lines and laces on the sneakers. Your mouse is ready. By the way, his friend-enemy Tom can be drawn in the same order, only the proportions will be different.
