Step 1
This is the most common and simplest method. This trigger can be applied to any pattern.
Knit together hem and 1st stitch, knit. From two loops you should get one. Move the resulting loop back to the left knitting needle. Now knit this stitch together with the next stitch, and put the resulting stitch back on the left knitting needle. Knit in this way until you have only one loop left. Then cut off the thread, pull it through the remaining loop and tighten to make a knot. Make sure that the edge of the product is not pulled together.
Step 2
If you launch the product in the following way, the edge of the launch will be like a stretch braid. Most often, the gum is closed in this way.
The edge loop is removed on the right knitting needle, and the second one is knitted with front or purl stitch. You now have two stitches on the right spoke. Insert the left knitting needle into the removed edge loop, pull slightly and push the second knitted loop into it. Now knit the 3rd loop and pull it into the loop on the right knitting needle. Start all the loops, when one loop remains, tear off the thread and tighten the knot, pulling the torn thread into the loop.
Step 3
The following method is designed specifically for closing elastic bands 1 × 1 or 2 × 2.
Take a needle and thread. Let's analyze the launch of loops for elastic 1 × 1. Starting from the right side, insert the needle into the hem and 2nd buttonholes. Further from the seamy side in the 1st and 3rd loops. Flip the piece over to the right side and insert the needle into the 2nd and 4th stitches. From the seamy side - in the 3rd and 5th loops.
Insert the needle alternately: then from the seamy side, then from the front side.
Step 4
Run for rubber band 2 × 2.
Starting from the right side, insert the needle into the hem and 2nd stitches. From the seamy side - in the 1st and 3rd loops. From the front - in the 2nd and 5th loops. From the seamy side - in the 3rd and 4th loops. From the front side to the 5th and 6th, continue until you have started all the loops. Then the thing will need to be steamed and, instead of a simple thread, stretch the one with which you knitted the product.
Step 5
Step start.
Pull one loop through the other in the first row. In the next rows, do not knit the 1st loop, but remove it. Now knit the 2nd loop and pull the removed 1st loop through it. The edges of the product with this start will be smooth.
