Step 1
The toe is usually knitted with a front stitch. Start knitting a standard toe after you knit the slick to the little finger. It is desirable that the number of loops before performing the operation to reduce loops be even. Count the stitches left after knitting the footprint and remember the number of stitches. To decrease the stitches, start at the edges of each knitting circle as follows.
Step 2
Knit the loops on the first knitting needle with the front loops, at the end, knit the two penultimate loops in one knitting loop and knit the last knitting loop with the knitting needles. At the beginning of the second knitting needle, knit the first loop with the front one, and then knit two loops together in one front pivot, turning the first loop of these two. Next, on the third knitting needle, repeat the order of decreasing the loops, as on the first knitting needle. On the fourth knitting needle, make a decrease in the loops similar to the decrease on the second knitting needle.
Step 3
Decrease stitches in every second row until the number of stitches on the needles remains equal to half of the number of stitches counted before knitting the toe. Continue decreasing the stitches in each circular row until there are eight stitches left on the four knitting needles, i.e. two loops on one needle. Thread the remaining loops onto a thick needle and thread used for the main knitting. Pull the loops tight, thread the end of the thread inside the sock and secure from the wrong side. This moment ends with the knitting of a regular toe of socks.
Step 4
There is another way to reduce loops with circular knitting needles for small items. This method is similar to knitting mittens for lowering the stitches. In this case, the end of the knitted fabric takes on the shape of a triangle. You can finish knitting socks in the same way. Loop contraction goes along the edges of the foot. Such a triangle is knitted quite simply.
Step 5
Knit the first two loops on the first and third needles together behind the back walls of the front one. On the second and fourth knitting needles, knit the last two loops together with the front one for the front walls. Decrease in each circular row or through the row, depending on the number of loops left after knitting the sock. When there are two or three loops left on each knitting needle, transfer the loops of the upper part of the sock to one knitting needle, and the lower part to the other knitting needle. Continue decreasing. When there are only two loops left, break the thread and pull one loop through the other, then pull tight. Hide the end of the thread on the wrong side of the sock.
