The knitted hat is practical and beautiful. However, it looks good only if it is neatly tied. The end of knitting is of great importance for the appearance of the hat. How to finish knitting a hat depends on the model.
It is necessary
- Loose Hat
- Knitting needles depending on thread thickness
- Needle
Instructions
Step 1
If you want to make a comb hat on two knitting needles, continue to knit with a straight fabric to the desired height. When you have knitted the desired number of rows, remove the open stitches with an additional thread or circular knitting cord. Tear off the long thread and thread it through the needle. Fold the hat in half along the length and sew the back seam, starting from the bottom. When you reach the top row, do not open the thread, but pull the thread first into the hem loop at the beginning of the row, then into the hem end of the row. Then thread the second loop from the beginning and the second from the end. Sew all pairs of loops in this way. Having reached the middle of the row, which in this case will be in front of the cap, cut off and fasten the thread.
Step 2
Knit a stocking hat (or other similar models that are rounded at the top) to the crown on straight or circular knitting needles. Then reduce the number of loops by half by knitting them in pairs. Knit the next row according to the pattern, and then again two loops together. Break off the thread, thread it into a needle with a wide eye and pull it through all the loops, starting with the first in the last row, that is, so that the hat does not open. Tighten the loop, fasten the thread and break. You can also sew the back seam of the cap with it, if there is one.
Step 3
The hat-helmet is finished a little differently than the stocking. First, knit the loops two at a time in the same way, then the purl row according to the pattern, again knit the loops two at a time, then knit four or five more rows and close the loops.
