Any knitted thing looks much more original if it is decorated with something. For example, patterns from multi-colored threads look great. But in order to make colored patterns (both crochet and knitting needles), you need to be able to change the threads when knitting.
Instructions
Step 1
Changing the thread in the process of knitting the fabric can be done both when crocheting and when knitting - the technology here does not differ much. The easiest option is to change the thread at the end of the tied row. Tie a row and in the last loop, before turning the canvas and starting the next row, insert a new thread of a different color.
Step 2
A more difficult option is to use jacquard or Norwegian knitting techniques. A similar method is used when knitting, its peculiarity lies in the alternation of two or more threads of different colors in one row. The change of thread in such patterns occurs according to a scheme in which one color cell corresponds to one loop. When working with this technique, the threads in the place of change should not be cut, but should be pulled along the seamy side of the product.
Step 3
At the junction of the flowers, cross the loops, but not too tight and not too weak - so that the canvas does not warp, but at the same time large gaps do not form in it. If you run the thread on the wrong side, be careful not to pull the thread around the fabric. To ensure that the threads used during work do not cross and do not get tangled, use a special knitting thimble.
Step 4
Tie one row and, in order not to get tangled in the threads, turn the canvas as follows: moving the canvas towards you - if you worked on the front side, moving away from you - if you worked on the wrong side.
