Are the sleeves and collar of a man's shirt worn out? Do not throw it away or put it on rags. Sew two whole kitchen aprons out of it!

1. Wash and iron your old shirt. Iron the central part especially carefully, because it is she who we need for work.
2. Consider the diagram - the blue line on it shows how to cut a man's shirt. The upper part is not needed, the lower part is needed to sew both aprons.
After you cut off the collar and sleeve section of the shirt, rip open the side seams (or just cut them off).
3. Fold over the open sections and hem. On the apron cut from the front of the shirt, sew a straight stitch along the edge of the placket.
4. From the contrasting fabric or the sturdiest part of the sleeve fabric, cut out pockets of your preferred size and sew them onto the hem of each apron.
5. Sew tape to the top of each apron and to the side to form the ties to a length that suits you.
instead of braid, the ties can be sewn from a bias tape (cut it out of the same fabric as the pockets or another that you have at hand).
The aprons are ready. Decorate them with flounces made of lace or fabric, ready-made appliqués, embroidery or any other way convenient for you.
