For the preservation of seedlings, a sufficiently high level of humidity and a temperature in the range from -3 to + 1oC are required. Such storage conditions can be provided in a cellar or fresh vegetable compartment in the refrigerator. Before placing the seedlings for storage, it is necessary to moisten and wrap a clod of earth with polyethylene, which covers the roots of the seedlings. For planting, you will need a large pot, the bottom of which must be laid out with expanded clay, fill the rest of the space with soil and plant a seedling in it. After planting, it is necessary to cut the seedling to 5 buds, store it in a sufficiently cool (up to 15 ° C) and bright place until planting in the garden. The seedling must be watered regularly, monitor the condition of the shoots.
Step 5
Before planting in the ground, the seedlings can be stored in the garden. To do this, you should prepare a special pit and stock up on dry soil in advance. It is necessary to lay out seedlings in this hole, sprinkle it with dry earth on top and cover with any covering material, for example, roofing material.
