Ribbon embroidery is a fairly popular way of needlework among craftswomen. A wide variety of flowers can be embroidered with satin ribbons - lilacs, chrysanthemums, tulips. To embroider a rose with ribbons, using the simplest method, you need to sew 5 long stitches on the fabric with strong thick thread. The stitches should come out of one point and form a star (snowflake) shape.
Now take a thin crochet hook (or awl) and embroidery ribbon. Leave about 10 cm of tape on the wrong side of the fabric and bring it to the right side as close as possible to the center of the thread snowflake.
Now drag the satin ribbon counterclockwise, passing it over and under the snowflake stitches in a circle. The diameter of the flower will gradually increase.
Each layer of the tape drawn in a circle should be placed as tightly as possible to the previous one, and even go a little on it. This will make the flower lush and neat. When all the tape is used up, its end must be tucked under the already finished petals.
Making a rose from a satin ribbon: method number 2
This method involves making a flower, which can then be glued or sewn to the product. First, you need to fold the satin ribbon in half, after that, start assembling an "accordion" from it, winding the ribbon from right to left, and vice versa.
Bring the bottom edge of the tape to the top. Try to hold the "accordion" without letting it bloom.
Release the accordion and slowly pull on the free edge of the tape so that the accordion begins to gather. Take your time, pull the tape until it takes the shape of a rose. Secure the finished flower with threads and sew on the product to be decorated. It is best to singe the ends of the satin ribbon so that they do not begin to unravel.
