Anime are cartoons drawn by Japanese artists. Unlike similar animation produced in other countries, most of Japan's animation products are aimed at teens and adults. Among the painted paintings of the Land of the Rising Sun, there are real masterpieces.

Hayao Miyazaki, founder of Studio Ghibli, is one of the most renowned filmmakers in animated cartoons. Almost every of his new paintings is met with delight by the public and critics. His creations will be of interest to both children and adults, as they easily and clearly tell about complex and eternal themes: love and friendship, struggle and self-sacrifice, as well as human relationships with nature and technology.
Miyazaki became known to the European audience after the release of his painting Spirited Away, which tells about the girl Chihiro, who accidentally found herself in another world inhabited by ghosts and unknown creatures, in which she needs not only to survive herself, but also to save her parents, who turned into pigs. Also noteworthy are such director's animated films as "My Neighbor Totoro", "Princess Mononoke", "Howl's Moving Castle", "Ponyo Fish on the Cliff", "The Wind Rises."
Five centimeters per second
"Five Centimeters Per Second" is a film by Makoto Shinkai, another famous Japanese director. The film consists of three stories and tells about a ten-year period in the life of Takaki Tohno. The first story is about a boy Takaki, who graduated from elementary school and is forced to part with his friend Akari, who is taken to another city. Children write letters to each other, and one day Takaki decides to meet with Akari, but in a heavy snow it is not so easy to do this.
In the second story, Takaki is already in high school and really likes his classmate Kanae. The girl does not dare to tell him about her feelings, which only become stronger over time, and Takaki cannot forget his childhood friend. In the third part, the viewer sees already an adult Takaki. The young man is immersed in his new life, but it does not bring him satisfaction. He breaks up with his girlfriend and quits his job. One day he finds himself near a railway crossing and sees Akari, who came to Tokyo to her fiancé. The young people look at each other, but a train passes between them. When the train drives by, the girl disappears.
Honey and Clover
Honey and Clover is a colorful anime series by J. C. Staff about the lives of students at an art college based in Tokyo. Young people make friends and quarrel, fall in love with each other and experience their first disappointments, looking for their place in the sun, having traveled all over Japan on a bicycle for this, and, of course, create masterpieces.
