Bulbous tulips, daffodils, hyacinths, crocuses open the spring season. Florists, and all beauty lovers, look forward to the flowering of these heralds of spring. What colors do Russians prefer?
Tulips are undoubtedly favorites
Why tulips? In recent years, there has been a growing tendency to have not only a summer cottage, but to live in a country house, away from the noise of the city. On such land plots, the owners grow more flower and ornamental crops and lawns than potatoes and vegetables.
In addition, it has become fashionable to plant not 2-3 tulip bulbs, but to use foreign experience in decorating plots, achieving maximum effect, making out long borders, large flower beds.
The modern assortment of tulips makes its own adjustments every year. And people have the opportunity to update, change the color scheme, the pattern of the flower garden and buy something "unusual". Moreover, our cities began to set an example by planting so many beautiful tulips.
Narcissus is the second most popular
Handsome daffodils have their own huge army of fans. This is explained by a simpler growing technique. Daffodils grow in one place without digging for 4-5 years, master the "territory" and turn into a picturesque picture. After all, undoubtedly, this is one of the most tenacious and persistent flowers in Russia. Many have seen destroyed houses, overgrown areas, but daffodils still bloom there every spring.
Just like tulips, today daffodils have many interesting and varied varieties. And they will certainly be "tried on" on their flower beds by flower growers.
Hyacinths are in third place
Of course, hyacinths cannot boast of a simple cultivation technique. For many, they do not take root and die. But in those gardens where they have successfully "settled down", their collections are expanded and updated. After all, the smell of hyacinths will leave few people indifferent. It is a pity that they did not come out in height.
Why are crocuses lagging behind?
Small but smart, and not expensive. Unpretentious, grows without transplant up to 5 years. Having such advantages, crocus is not gaining much popularity. In part, too early and not very long flowering is to blame. When the crocus babies bloom, it means that spring has come.
In the fall, growers will again bring new varieties of spring-flowering bulbs to their plots. And no crisis will prevent this, because no one has canceled spring yet.
