Currently, a huge number of different notebooks, notepads and diaries are provided on store shelves, which can be purchased for little money, but more and more people prefer to make diaries with their own hands. And all because such homemade products are exclusive and unique.
To independently make a beautiful personal diary, special skills are unnecessary, because absolutely everyone knows how to glue, cut and paint.
To make a beautiful personal diary with your own hands, you will need:
- thick cardboard;
- white sheets (20 pcs);
- a small piece of plain fabric (thin jersey);
- glue;
- scissors;
- needle;
- felt (its color should match the color of the selected fabric);
- threads (in the color of the sheets).
The first step is to take A4 sheets, bend them in half and stitch them in two places with a needle and thread of a suitable color (in general, you can take both white sheets and any other color, it's a matter of taste).
The next step is to create the cover. To do this, you need to take thick cardboard and cut out a rectangle 21 cm by 30 cm (the size of the previously prepared booklet). Bend it in half.
Now it is necessary to cut a rectangle 25 cm by 34 cm from a well-stretched fabric, carefully stick it onto cardboard, leaving allowances of two centimeters on each side. Fold the remaining allowances to the other side of the cardboard (wrong side) and glue. The cover is ready.
Next, you need to connect the diary itself with the cover. To do this, put the cover face down, apply glue on the seamy side, then take the booklet, bend the sheet on each side of it and carefully stick it. The personal diary is ready, now you can decorate it.
For decoration, you can use absolutely any element, for example, felt. You can cut various figures from it in the form of flowers, butterflies, hearts, stars, and then glue them to the outside of the cover in any order.
