New Year's events are not complete without snow games. A kind of ritual of meeting winter and New Year is making a snowman. This causes indescribable delight among children. If you like to do needlework, you can decorate the Christmas tree or New Year's table with a crocheted snowman.
It is necessary
- - multi-colored yarn (preferably white and red);
- - a needle;
- - hook at 0.85;
- - wooden beads (2 pcs.);
- - two eyes;
- - synthetic winterizer.
Instructions
Step 1
To crochet a snowman, take white yarn, cast on 4 air loops and make a circle out of them. Tie a single crochet and make 2 single crochets in each loop of the chain. Repeat the same for the 2nd and 3rd rows.
Step 2
In the next row, make one chain stitch, 3 single crochets. In the 4th loop of the chain, make 2 single crochets. Knit the entire row like this.
Step 3
Do the same on the next row, but knit 2 single crochets every 7th loop of the chain. Knit the next row in every 10th loop and so on, adding 3 chain loops in each subsequent row. Make 2 single crochets in subsequent rows in each of the 13th, 16th, and 19th stitches of the corresponding row.
Step 4
After the 19th loop, do not add the number of loops in the chain. Work 2 rows like this, then start decreasing (if you want to knit a large snowman, knit a few more rows without adding loops).
Step 5
When finishing knitting the ball, leave a small hole. Fill the cavity of the ball with padding polyester through it. Sew up the hole.
Step 6
Tie one or two more balls of different sizes in the same way. Connect them using a knit sewing needle.
Step 7
For more convenient sewing on other parts of the snowman, make hands from wooden beads, tying them with yarn. Or tie the same balls as for the torso, but smaller in size. Sew your arms to the snowman's body.
Step 8
Sew on the carrot nose. Tie a tube of orange or red yarn and attach it to the snowman's face. Glue his eyes using glue.
Step 9
Now you can decorate it as you like: put on a hat, a scarf. To tie them, use red or any other brightly colored thread. Knit a hat in the same way as knitting balls to create a snowman's body, and a scarf with single crochets, turning the product over.
Step 10
Attach a broom to the snowman. To make it, tie a few twigs together with a thick thread (pick them while walking in the park), then sew a broomstick to one of the balls.
