Crocheting is an exciting hobby. Having mastered the knitting technique, starting with knitting simple loops and ending with openwork and complex patterns, you will get a lot of opportunities for further creativity and creating a variety of patterns using crochet and yarn. You need to start learning to knit from the basics of skill - first you need to work out the technique of knitting the simplest loops and patterns. One of such simple elements, without which no knitting can do, is a simple single crochet, which is the basis for other columns that are more complex in knitting technique.
Instructions
Step 1
To knit a single crochet, start by knitting a regular chain of air loops, which always starts with any crocheted fabric. Tie a chain to the desired length, then turn the hook and insert it into the third chain loop from the edge.
Step 2
Holding the working thread with the fingers of your left hand, hook it with the crochet and pull it through the third from the edge of the air loop into which you just inserted the hook.
Step 3
You will see that two loops have formed on the hook. Hook the working thread again with the hook and pull it through not one, but two formed loops, and slightly tighten the thread. You have knitted your first single crochet.
Step 4
Continue to knit the single crochet as long as necessary to the end of the chain. You will end up with the same number of stitches as there were loops in the chain.
Step 5
After tying the first row of stitches, turn the knitting over and tie another stitch to move to the next row.
Step 6
Insert the crochet hook into the second column of the next row from the edge and knit two loops again, then pull a working thread through them to knit a single crochet. Thus, you can knit a canvas of any length and width.
Step 7
Subsequently, when your knitting technique improves, you can alternate single crochet with single crochet, as well as with two and three crochets, and create interesting and original canvases with a variety of patterns.
