Battlefield has always belonged to a number of projects focused exclusively on multiplayer. Each part of the game reveals its full potential only on the battlefield, and therefore, since "Battlefield 1942", single player has been in a deplorable state. Recent episodes have attempted to correct such an omission, but with controversial success.
Instructions
Step 1
In Battlefield 1942, 1943 and 2, the single player campaign is completely absent. The only option available to the player is to play a "training" round with bots. The match will be held according to absolutely the same rules as the session on the Internet, however, all live players will be replaced by computer opponents. In addition, you will not be able to receive any awards or achievements.
Step 2
To start playing with bots, download the client program and select "Singleplayer". In the next menu, define the difficulty level and map.
Step 3
In Battlefield 2142 introduced a single player campaign, which is essentially a "passage" through all the multiplayer maps. Matches are absolutely similar to online battles.
Step 4
Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is the first game in the series to feature a full-fledged single player mode. The rules of the game are strikingly different from the network ones. The player has a much higher health reserve than opponents, which allows you to kill them in large quantities. In addition, missions have become linear - you cannot complete them by simply killing everyone. Scripts will be triggered periodically; show cutscenes; many actions will have to be performed according to the developers' plan. During the game, also consider destructibility - often instead of smoking opponents out of cover, you can simply blow it up.
Step 5
The campaign in Battlefield 3 is strictly linear, like Call of Duty. Keep a close eye on walkie talkie conversations, markers, and tasks. Otherwise, there is a serious risk of misunderstanding the task. Opponents will appear and run in your direction until you complete your plan, for example, take a machine gun point. Also, be prepared for the quick-time-events tabs - often you will have to participate in mini-games of “high-speed keystrokes” (fight with the enemy, defuse the bomb). The game will give you "special conditions", like a sniper duel on the roof. Contrary to the well-established rules of a network game, you won't be able to run from a sniper, you need to move while lying down. The episode is played by firing a rocket launcher, which activates a scripted scene.
