Instructions
Step 1
To determine the name and author of the melody you like, download and install the free Tunatic program, which recognizes the melodies being played.
Step 2
Go to https://www.wildbits.com/tunatic/ and select the distribution that suits your operating system.
Step 3
After downloading the distribution, install and run the program.
Step 4
Connect a microphone to your computer and set it up. Go to the "Start" menu, then click on the "Control Panel" icon and then go to the "Sounds and Audio Devices" menu.

Select the "Volume" tab, click on the "Advanced" button, on top click on the "Options" tab and there click on the "Properties" button. Select the "Recording" tab and put all the checkmarks there, then click "OK".

In the menu that appears, check the "Wave / MP3" checkbox and set the slider to maximum. After that, turn on your player, start playing any melody, and if traveling waves appear in the settings window, then the sound comes to the microphone normally and the program works.
Step 7
Find the melody you want to define, then in the Tunatic program, click on the magnifying glass (magnifier) icon and start playing the melody or video.
Step 8
After about 15 seconds, the program will display at the top of its window the name of the melody that is being played at the moment. An arrow will appear below the performer of this melody with a link to the source where this melody can be downloaded or bought in mp3 format or ringtone.

Step 10
In order to recognize a melody using this service, open its address and use one of the proposed options. Provide a link to a video clip or audio in mp3 format. Then upload the melody from your computer to the server and enter the captcha.

Further, the service will give you the name and artist of this melody, and below it will provide links by which you can purchase it on the Internet.
