Quite often on the Internet, in various competitions and on forums of cinematographic topics, tasks are offered: to recognize a film by a frame from it. At first glance, this seems like a very simple enigma, but the frames, as a rule, are selected quite difficult.
Instructions
Step 1
Take a close look at the presented frame. If you cannot recognize it right away, but something tells you that you have watched this movie once, you can not quit the task, but try to complete it.
Step 2
First, try to determine the country of origin of the film and when it was shot. If the quality of the photo is average, the colors are dull, there are various spots, specks, etc. - the film does not apply to recently released. Pay attention to the clothes of the heroes (if any), in what fashion of the year they are dressed.
Step 3
To understand whose picture it is, look at the color of everyday life, at the faces of people, at the inscriptions on street windows, etc. If in front of you, for example, is captured a white-toothed beauty with the broadest smile, walking along a busy street among numerous shops with signs in English, cars are moving on the right side, it is clear that the film is not Soviet.
Step 4
Try to identify the genre in which the film is made. If the photograph shows Van Damme or Stallone, then this is most likely an action movie, but if Louis de Funes or Andrei Mironov is a comedy, etc.
Step 5
If there are people in the picture, their faces are clearly visible, try to remember what kind of actors they are. For example, you see that the picture shows Nonna Mordyukova in the guise of a merchant, drinking tea at the table. Remember in what films this actress played. Open her filmography, perhaps it will help you remember the name that you forgot. Consider only films that match their expected release years. Remember who else from the actors played in this film. And so, along the logical chain, it is quite possible that you will be able to establish the truth. In this case, “The Marriage of Balzaminov” was conceived.
Step 6
If the frame does not contain people, but it depicts nature or the interior of a room, such a film is much more difficult to solve, since the human eye, first of all, focuses its attention on the characters and their actions.
