Step 1
Sew a chain of chain stitches to the desired length. You should end up with as many double crochets as you hit on the links, plus a couple more stitches.
Step 2
Count the third stitch from the hook (some knitters count the fourth) and knit the first double crochet into it. To do this, you first need to put the thread on the rod of the working tool and hold it with your finger so that the yarn does not slip.
