How to make a cardboard box

It is necessary

  • - colored plain or wrapping paper;
  • - cardboard box or sheets of cardboard;
  • - scissors;
  • - glue or tape, paper clips.

Instructions

Step 1

Draw a rectangle or square of the desired size on a piece of cardboard, draw straight lines from each side, the length of these lines will correspond to the depth of the box. Draw two trapezoidal protrusions opposite the sides, two on each.

Step 2

Cut out the box and fold it over the folds. Cut the same shape out of colored or brown paper and stick to the box. Lubricate the protrusions with glue and glue to the adjacent side of the box (you can use tape instead of glue).

Step 3

Make a lid for the box: draw a square or rectangle in the original size on a piece of cardboard, then increase it by 1-5 mm (depending on the thickness of the cardboard) on each side. Draw the lines for the depth of the lid, then the protrusions, cut out the workpiece, bend along the lines, fasten the sides with paper clips and try on the box. If the lid fits tightly enough, glue it over with colored paper, glue the sides.

Step 4

Make a packing box in the shape of a cube: draw a square of the required size, from its sides draw four more squares with the same sides, from one of these squares - another, fifth square, equal in size to them. You will get six equal squares, which correspond to the four sides of the cube, the bottom and the lid.

Step 5

Draw small allowances for gluing the sides of the cube in the shape of trapeziums, for the lid, come up with a fastener: you can cut a hole close to the edge of the lid and the corresponding sidewall, then pull through a gauze or satin ribbon and tie it with a bow; you can cut a tongue on the side of the lid, and make a slot in the corresponding sidewall to tuck the tongue there; or make bumpers on three sides of the lid and glue them together like a lid for a box.

Step 6

Cover the shape with wrapping paper, cut along the lines, glue and complete the fastener design.
