It is necessary

  • - corrugated cardboard;
  • - ruler;
  • - pencil;
  • - glue "Moment";
  • - a knife for cutting paper;
  • - cartridge;
  • - lamp;
  • - wire and other parts for the base.

Instructions

Step 1

If you know about electricity, make your own lamp base from the scrap you can find, or use an old table lamp. Otherwise, it is better to purchase a ready-made assembled version of the lamp, into which it is enough to screw in the lamp and decorate it with a lampshade.

Step 2

Determine the best size and shape for your chandelier. The easiest way is to make a lampshade with corners - in the form of a square, triangle, pentagon, etc. Chandeliers with a round shade look very stylish, but this work will take more time for you.

Step 3

To make a cardboard lampshade with corners, cut a base of the desired shape and size from the cardboard. Note that if you want to make a round lampshade, the base should be smaller than the diameter.

Step 4

For example, you decide to make a square lamp with sides 30 * 30 cm - start with a square of the same size. Find the center of the square and mark with a pencil a round hole the same size as the hole in the chuck (this is where this part will be attached). In addition to the round hole in the square, it is necessary to cut out several more symmetrical gaps so that not only the lower part of the chandelier is illuminated, but also the upper one.

Step 5

Next, prepare the elements for the lampshade. To make a chandelier with corners, simply cut out many strips equal to the length of one side. The light transmission of your chandelier will directly depend on the width of the stripes - the thinner the stripes, the brighter the room will be. The optimal size is 1-2 cm.

Step 6

If you want a round cardboard chandelier, mark the circles with the following tool: tie a thread to the button, chalk or a pencil at the end of the thread. Sticking in the button, draw a circle, then reduce the length of the thread by a couple of centimeters and draw a circle again. Working in this manner, create the number of circles required to create the ball.

Step 7

When all the details are ready, start assembling the chandelier. Glue strips or circles to the base so that there is a small distance between them. This can be achieved as follows: in a lampshade with an even number of sides, glue the strips in turn, first opposite each other, then, turning the lampshade, on the other sides. If the number of sides is odd or you have a round lampshade, you will need extra pieces of cardboard to lift the stripes.

Step 8

First, paste over the part of the lampshade that will be located on top. When the bulb holder is hidden, work downward until the desired bulb size is reached. Then assemble the fixture using an energy saving lamp to ensure fire safety.
