A cardboard house is indispensable in a children's corner. Drawn dolls or paper cut animals can be populated there. There may also be a magic treasure. And if such a house is made with a bottom, then it can serve as an excellent gift wrapping.
It is necessary
- Cardboard
- Leatherette
- Boot knife
- Glue
- Ruler
- Gon
- Pencil
Instructions
Step 1
Draw parts of the house on sheets of cardboard. All four sides are equal in height. Make two identical rectangles for the facades and 2 for the side walls. The rectangles for the side walls are shorter in length. Bend the sides of the rectangles that will be on top under the roof by half a centimeter to the outside.
Step 2
Place windows and doors on the facades. You can simply draw them or make an applique from colored paper. You can also make opening windows and doors. You must first draw them, then draw a vertical line in the middle. After that, carefully cut with a boot knife first the place of joining of the door or window sashes, then the upper and lower lines to the point of their connection with the wall. Fold back the sashes and shutters along the line of connection with the wall. They can be strengthened with strips of paper or leatherette.
Step 3
From leatherette or colored paper, cut 8 strips equal to the height of the house. Fold each strip in half. Spread the strips one by one with glue and glue one half to the side wall and the other to the facade. Glue the four remaining strips from the outside, thus strengthening the corners.
Step 4
Make a roof. It is a rectangle made of cardboard, slightly larger than the perimeter of the house. Apply glue to the folds of all four walls and glue the roof to them. You can also make a roof with slopes. To do this, cut a strip of cardboard about twice the area of the base of the house. Fold it in half lengthwise. Peel back the edges of the roof and glue it to the facades with leatherette strips. Cut out two triangles to cover the sides of the roof and glue them.
