A rare children's holiday is complete without carnival costumes and dress-up scenes. A cardboard hat will help to make the image of a fairy-tale character bright and memorable.
It is necessary
- - cardboard
- - scissors
- - glue
- - compass
- - flexible measuring tape
- - ruler
Instructions
Step 1
To determine the size of the future cardboard hat, measure the circumference of the head with a measuring tape. Then calculate the radius of the inner (smaller) round part of the brim of the hat using the following formula: radius = head circumference / 6.28. This will be the smaller radius. Now calculate the radius of the outer (larger) circle of the brim by adding 25 cm (the width of the hat brim) to the resulting radius of the inner brim of the hat. This will be the larger radius.
Step 2
Take a piece of cardboard and draw a circle with a larger radius using a compass. Then, from the same point, draw a circle with a smaller radius. Within a circle with a smaller radius, draw flaps about 3 cm long, which later will help to glue the brim to the top of the hat. Cut out the inside of the brim, leaving the flaps.
Step 3
Draw a circle with a radius of 25-30 cm and cut out the top of the hat (about 1/4 of the circle), leaving a flap to glue the edges of the cone. Fold the top of the hat into a cone and glue the flap to the other end of the cone.
Step 4
Lift the flaps on the inner rim of the hat brim and apply glue. Press the top of the hat against the flaps of the brim. The cardboard hat is ready.
