Step 1
Note the features of birch leaves, note the shape of maple leaves, study the structure of conifers. Some of the trees, such as maple, have complex leaf structures. The process of drawing them is quite laborious. When you return from your walk, start painting. Break the work into several stages, consider every detail. Keep track of the structure of the tree trunk. It can be as thick as an oak or as thin as a birch.
Step 2
Before you start drawing the whole picture, think over the plot, focus on the main thing. Outline the main elements, focus on them. Consider the visual perception of color.
Step 3
Pay attention to this effect - the further the tree is, the smaller it should be drawn. If the tree is far away, do not draw the entire mass of leaves. From afar, you only see its shape. When drawing, make sure that the shape of the tree is correct.

Decide which tree you want to draw. Depict an oak tree, for example. Start by drawing a tree trunk. Consider the structure of a real tree. The trunk should be uneven, thick, with low branching branches. Keep in mind that the trunk of the oak tree splits into several large branches somewhere in the middle. If you are painting a summer oak, all branches of the tree should be hidden under a dense canopy. Depict foliage in different shades of green, use blue, black.
Step 5
Try to paint the forest using different colors and shades of paints, change the size and shape of the brush. Control the light and shadows, the painting should look like one whole. First, use light colors of paints, in the process the color can be enhanced. Look at the drawing from a distance - did you like everything? If the tonality of the colors is chosen correctly, there will be a feeling of the present.
