The Rasta hat or takes the colors traditional for this subculture - black, red, green and yellow - is a convenient, stylish and bright accessory that will suit not only adherents of the Rasta culture. In addition, knitting such a hat is not so difficult.
Instructions
Step 1
Start working with a black thread. Cast on 4 air loops and close them in a ring. Then knit the first row - 7 single crochets. In the second row, knit two single crochets in each loop - you should get 14 loops. From the third row, knit according to the pattern. Start each of the future seven sectors of the beret on two columns of the previous row: from the first, knit a single crochet in black, from the second - a single crochet in green.
Step 2
Knit according to the pattern. In order to increase the circle, first make additions in the colored part of the sector, until you reach its widest part of 11 loops. Then add already in the black part. In each sector in each row, add one single crochet, except for those rows where "+2" is indicated - in these rows you need to add 2 single crochets. To make the transition between the black and colored fragments invisible, the last column of the same color each time cover with a column of a different color. To do this, during knitting, always pull both threads together, but at the same time only one will participate in knitting. In this case, a pattern will be obtained both on the front and on the seamy side, and no unnecessary "tails" will stick out.
Step 3
Starting from the tenth row, replace the color single crochet in each row with a black one - to decrease the colored part of the sector. Do this from one side to the other of the colored part. You do not have to constantly recount the loops in the black knitting sector, just remember that in each row after row "+2" their number will increase by 2: add one, take the second from the colored part.
Step 4
After you finish knitting the pattern, knit the beret of the size you need, making stripes of three colors in any size and in any order.
