Instructions
Step 1
Take yarn in bright shades of green, yellow and red, as well as black - the black fabric will be interspersed with colored stripes. It is advisable to select all the yarn so that it is of the same thickness.
Step 2
Knit the hat in a spiral with double crochets, knitting loops behind the back wall so that decorative horizontal stripes surround the hat in a spiral.
Step 3
Take black yarn and crochet a chain of ninety stitches. Knit two rows of double crochets, then change the color of the yarn and knit two rows of double crochets with red yarn.
Step 4
In the next rows, change the color of the yarn twice - after the red stripe, knit two rows of double crochet with yellow yarn, and then the same number of rows with green. Having finished knitting the colored piece of the cap, go back to the black canvas. Start knitting the next row with black yarn, decreasing the loops.
Step 5
For a decrease, knit six double crochets, and knit the seventh and eighth stitches together. Continue to knit the entire row in this way until you move on to the next. In the next row, knit five double crochets, and every sixth and seventh stitches together - this way, the next row will narrow even more.
Step 6
Continue to knit all subsequent rows, successively decreasing the loops so that the hat tapers towards the top of the head. Spread the decreases evenly around the circle to keep the hat looking neat. When you get to the top of your head, knit the first and second stitches together, and then the third and fourth stitches.
Step 7
Knit each pair of stitches together until all the way down and close the top of your head. Tighten the thread, cut it and crochet it to the wrong side.
