To make the glue dry faster, the glass can be placed in a special dryer and kept there at a temperature of 50-60 ° C. After the glue dries, you can tear off a thin film of glass with it.

However, keep in mind that only thick window panes - double or even triple - are suitable for such arts. If you use thin glass, then the glue as it dries, instead of tearing off only a thin film, will simply bend the sheet of glass itself. Subsequently, you can use the glue that has come off the glass surface, just add at least 50% new glue to the solution. By the way, it can be used for painting, in the process of boiling down the fragments of the broken glass will settle to the bottom and it will be easy to remove them.
