Instructions
Step 1
The finished square quilted pillow measures 75 cm. Cut 2 77.5 cm square panels from silk dupion and lining.
Step 2
Glue the lining to the inside of the panels. Sew them together, leaving a hole for the stuffing. Trim the corners, turn right out, iron.
Step 3
Measure 15 cm from the edges to mark the stitching areas. Cut 45 cm of waxed thread. After threading the button, thread the end of one thread into the upholstery needle and thread it through the fabric at the mark.
Step 4
Pull the thread to the opposite side of the garment. Repeat the same for the second end of the thread, pulling it out at a distance of 0.3 cm from the first.
Step 5
Apply 4 rows of 4 stitches each, 15 cm apart. Starting on the opposite side of the hole, lightly tamp the pad up to the first row of marks.
Step 6
Sew the first row of stitches. Add more padding. Repeat the process until you have completed the entire pillow. Sew up the hole.
Step 7
The size of the finished pillow-box is 62.5 cm. Cut out from the silk dupion and lining 2 squares with a side of 65 cm, 4 side stripes measuring 12.5 * 62.5 cm, 8 stripes measuring 3.8 * 65 cm for decoration.
Step 8
Glue the lining from the inside out. Sew the ends of the 4 trim strips, lay the corners, make a square border. Repeat for all trim strips.
Step 9
Sew the trim strips to the panel with the right sides together, aligning the edges.
Turn right side out, smooth seams.
Step 10
Seam the short sides of the side strips to form a continuous strip.
Step 11
Aligning at the corners, sew the strips to the border, leaving a hole to turn out.
Step 12
Cut the corners, turn the product inside out, iron it. Stitch the border 1, 3 cm from the edge. Stuff the pillow, sew the hole.
