Instructions
Step 1
Use a sturdy apple branch for your craft. Leave only those branches on it that will not bend and break after removing the bark. Saw off the excess with a hacksaw. Use a sharp knife to peel off the bark. Do this carefully and carefully so as not to cut yourself or damage the branch. The cleaned workpiece must be dried well. Place the branch next to a hot radiator or a Russian stove. Keep it warm for a few days.
Step 2
Take a coarse sandpaper and sand the branch. The workpiece should be smooth, free of burrs and bark residues, so that the thin chains that you hang on your product do not cling or break.
Step 3
Cover the craft with the first coat of wood varnish. The use of clear varnish will accentuate the beauty of natural wood. After the varnish dries, the entire surface of the branch will become rough. Take a fine-grained skin and go over your garment again. Blow off any plaque build-up. Cover the item with varnish again. Dry the varnish and stroke the branch with your fingertips, if roughness remains somewhere, then again use a fine sandpaper and varnish. The workpiece should be completely smooth.
Step 4
Disassemble a simple wooden frame. Treat the surface of the frame itself, sand and varnish. The color of the varnish can be the same as the color of the apple blank, or it can be different. Be guided by your taste. Place the back of the frame on a piece of velvet fabric, make a pattern on it. Add 2 cm to each side of the pattern. Cut out the fabric. Cover the front of the backdrop with velvet, securing it to the back with a furniture stapler. Place paper clips so that they are not visible when assembling the frame, that is, at the very edges.
Step 5
Assemble the frame. Attach the finished branch to it. Fix it on the back of the back with self-tapping screws. Place the frame on the wall, and hang chains and bracelets on the smooth branches sticking out.
