Christian Castro is a pop singer with a light tenor vocal range, one of the most popular Mexican performers of recent decades. Christian is the son of the famous "Wild Rose" actress Veronica Castro.
Biography
On December 8, 1974, a son was born into the family of famous artists Veronica Castro and Manuel Valdez, who was given the name Christian. All the relatives of the future singer were somehow related to the stage and television, and therefore from an early age he revolved in an atmosphere of creativity, music and theatrical reincarnations.
Already in 1981, little Christian appeared on the screens in the Mexican telenovela "The Right to Birth" (El derecho de nacer), where his mother played one of the main roles. And in 1984, the future singer first performed as a performer in the children's vocal competition Juguemos Cantar, failing to qualify for the final solely because of his young age.
Career
Christian Castro began his professional singing career in 1992, immediately after completing his school education. After releasing several albums and continuing to appear in Mexican telenovelas, which were filmed by his relatives, producers and actors, the singer went on tour to Puerto Rico, recording several songs dedicated to this country.
The teenage deep voice changed to a softer one, which the audience liked, and the famous song Nunca Voy a Olvidarte by Roberto Belester, sung in his own way by Christian in 1993, became a world hit. In the same year, the singer received the Lo Nuestro award as the best performer of the year.
International tours brought Christian fame worldwide, he became a teen idol and sex symbol in many countries. Tours, solo albums, introductory themes for popular telenovelas - his name resounded loudly in the popular culture of Latin America. In the late nineties and early 2000s, Castro signed a contract with the German record company BMG, and his work reached a new level. His compilations received the title of "Best Latin Pop Album of the Year", Christian songs took leading positions in the charts.
2005-2012 years were the most unfortunate years for Castro in his career. The divorce from his second wife led him to bankruptcy, and the recordings released in collaboration with Universal Latin Entertainment did not bring the fees that the singer expected. And yet he remains one of the most popular performers in Latin America and to this day releases albums and singles, delighting his many fans.
Personal life
Christian Castro has a rich history of romantic relationships. He was married three times and was in a rather serious relationship with several other actresses and singers. The singer's first wife was the Paraguayan model Gabriela Bo (2003-2004), but he left her for the bright Argentinean Valeria Lieberman. This family lasted for five whole years, until 2009. The divorce from Victoria nearly ruined Christian. He was supported by the beautiful Ingrid Irribarren, a Peruvian business woman, whom the singer courted for a whole year, exchanging her for the energetic Colombian Paola Erazo. In 2017, Christian's fans celebrated his wedding to Carol Victoria Urban, but this relationship fell apart one year later.
