Biography

There are many legends about the life and work of the Cuban revolutionary, which often do not agree with each other. It is rather difficult to make an objective and accurate judgment of his political activities, because one part of the world community considers Castro to be a people's defender and ruler, the other as an unprincipled and cruel dictator.

The entire life story of the famous Fidel Castro is filled with extraordinary and, at times, very difficult episodes: there were absolutely more than 600 hundred assassination attempts organized by the American government and American mafiosi, as well as Cuban opponents of his regime. He worked furiously on himself, setting the goal of becoming the person who changed the course of the history of his country. He was considered an implacable opponent of the United States and entered into a nuclear and economic alliance with the USSR. He quickly and harshly dealt with the opposition, organized massive repressions.

Fidel Castro has received a large number of awards.

Fidel Castro was born on August 13, 1926 in the small town of Biran. Even though the parents were not educated, they tried their best to educate their children. It is known that from early childhood Castro had an excellent memory and very soon he became the best student. With a clear mind, high ambitions and a firm determination, Fidel vividly showed a craving for rebellion. At the age of thirteen, the boy had already participated in the workers' uprising and was one of the leaders in it.

School was graduated with honors and young Fidel Castro continued his studies at an elite college, where he proved himself not only as a diligent student, but also as a fighter and quarrel. He further studied law at the University of Havana. The spirit of revolution was growing more and more in Castro's soul. This was greatly facilitated by the revolutionary literature, which he was so carried away by.

To be on the sidelines is not for Fidel - at that time he was skeptical of the communists, but was not against leading their ranks, as a "new" Stalin.

Shortly after training, Fidel Castro started a private practice working as a lawyer. He defended poor people for free, thus earning boundless love and respect among the people.

Political sphere

Fidel's political career began immediately with an unbridled onslaught. After becoming a member of the Party of the People of Cuba ("Orthodox"), he tries to get into parliament. And the failure of the first attempt does not confuse him at all: Castro leads the movement of fighters against the dictatorship of power and in 1953 arranges a conspiracy against the ruler of Fulgencio Batista.

The conspiracy was revealed and many of its participants were killed, and Fidel himself was sentenced to imprisonment for fifteen years.

After serving only two years, he was released after a general amnesty. The restless future ruler of Cuba moves to Mexico and founds a rebel group, the July 26 Movement, as a reminder of the failed rebellion against Batista. This movement also included Che Guevara and Fidel's brother Raul.

The rebels soon seized Havana and completely overthrew the rule of Fulgencio Batista. Castro not only led the troops, but soon appointed himself the new prime minister.

Over the course of twenty years of his reign, the new head has radically rebuilt and transformed the Cuban state - very little time passed and the country began to flourish, especially in economic terms. He reorganized the difficult conditions of society, brought medical services to a free level and improved the education system by 100%. Socialized all private earnings and entered into an alliance with the USSR.

After nuclear weapons (missiles of the Soviet Union) were deployed in Cuba in the 1960s, relations between the United States and Cuba have deteriorated sharply. The famous Caribbean fracture was provoked, due to which many Castro devotees took the side of the Americans. But the head of Cuba invariably continued his work and continued to fight against world capitalism.

The eighties were marked by an economic crisis for Cuba - financial support from the Soviet Union was cut off. The impoverished people tried to emigrate to America at all costs, attempts to overthrow the government began.

After prolonged health problems in 2006, Castro resigned his duties as head and handed over to his brother, Raul Castro, who, two years later, became the next ruler of Cuba.

Leaving power did not prevent Fidel from taking part in the political scene: he wrote articles that caused a flurry of emotions among readers, met with politicians from different countries.

Personal life

The personal life of Fidel Castro has long been a closed topic, and even now not so much is known: there were three women whom he loved very much and who gave him seven children. Legitimate is only one child, the son of Fidelito from his first marriage with Mirta Diaz Balart. What kind of husband he was, good or bad, there is no reliable data. But the fact is known that his third wife and colleague Celia Sanchez committed suicide in 1985.
