Kristina Kretova in 2011 was able to ascend to the Olympus of Russian art and culture, becoming the first soloist of the Moscow Bolshoi Theater. For this, a native of Orel and a native of a family far from the country's ballet life had to try hard. Galina Ulanova's student, Nina Semizorova, became her mentor. And the repertoire was filled not only with classical projects, but also with experimental theatrical performances.

Biography and career of Kristina Aleksandrovna Kretova

On January 28, 1984, the future prima of the Moscow Bolshoi Theater was born. Since childhood, ballroom dancing has become the meaning of her whole life for Christina. Simultaneously with the general education institution, she attended a choreographic school in her hometown from the age of six. And already at the age of ten, Kretova, having overcome a huge competition, began to study at the Moscow Choreographic Academy, where her mentors were Marina Leonova, Lyudmila Kolenchenko and Elena Bobrova.

In 2002, the aspiring ballerina graduated from the Academy and began to appear on the stage of the Kremlin Ballet, where she was able to take part in many parts from the classical genre. Her repertoire was filled with images of key characters in ballet productions by Pyotr Tchaikovsky, Adolph Adam, Ludwig Minkus, performances "Figaro", "Esmeralda" and others.

At the same time, Kristina Kretova also shone on foreign stages as part of the theatrical project "Russian Seasons XXI Century". The most popular productions in this program were "Tamara" by Milia Balakireva and "The Firebird" by Igor Stravinsky. In the second half of the 2000s, the Moscow soloist was invited by the academic theaters of Tatarstan and Yekaterinburg, where she performed the main roles in the ballets The Sleeping Beauty and Le Corsaire, as well as The Stone Flower, respectively.

At the invitation of Sergei Filin, a talented ballerina in 2010 began performing at the theater. Stanislavsky. And a year later, together with her artistic director, she moved to the Bolshoi Theater, where he also headed the ballet group. However, the place of the first soloist of the main theatrical stage of the country, Kristina Kretova, received exclusively on an equal footing with other applicants, having passed a rather serious casting.

Personal life of a ballerina

The long-term marriage of Kristina Kretova with her husband, whose name the prima keeps in strict secrecy, became the reason for the birth of Isa's son in 2009. The spouse of the eminent ballerina has nothing to do with the theatrical sphere of our country, but he regularly attends all performances with the participation of his wife, giving her lush bouquets of flowers.

And the artist calls the secret of a happy family life the ability to switch from work to home when he returns from rehearsals to his family, and, conversely, as soon as he enters the theater. Interestingly, with a strict diet, Christina loves to cook pastries for the household. And in general, she does not at all believe that she leads an ascetic lifestyle, despite strict professional restrictions.
