This article will discuss how to make a boat yourself in a relatively short time.
This will require the following materials:
- A sheet of plywood or PCB with a thickness of five to seven millimeters. Its dimensions should be 2000x800 mm.
- Wooden slats 400x50x10 mm. It is advisable to take the tree from light species (linden, poplar, pine).
- Wooden boards thirty and twenty millimeters thick.
- Stainless (galvanized) self-tapping screws.
- The rope is about six millimeters thick and about seven meters long.
- A piece of waterproof cloth measuring about 2 by 4 meters.
- Two car cameras (most suitable from UAZ or GAZelle)
In order to build a boat, we sequentially perform the following operations. Carefully make semicircles with a diameter of forty centimeters on both edges of the sheet (cut off the corners of the sheet). In the future, the resulting sheet will be the basis of the bottom of our boat. Mark the middle of the boat bottom (in length). Cut out from a board with a thickness of 30 mm. four right-angled triangles measuring 30x20 (these are the lengths of the legs). At a distance of 15 cm from the middle, we fasten the triangles with a twenty-centimeter side to the bottom, two from each side. We fasten wooden slats 400x50x10 mm to the resulting frame. We get a wooden base with two small sides made of slats.
Drill holes in the upper slats approximately in the middle and thread rope loops with a diameter of 5-7 centimeters. These are the oarlocks for the oars of our future boat. From twenty-millimeter boards, we make spacers between triangles from one side to the other. At the same time, they will be the stiffeners of our future structure. We make a cover from a waterproof fabric that will be worn on the bottom and sides of the boat. We sew the edges, leaving a place inside the seam for threading the rope.
We pass the rope through the seam of the cover.
As a result, our boat is almost ready. It remains to give a few important tips. Firstly, after assembling the wooden frame, it is necessary to clean it with emery paper until you get rounded corners and smooth surfaces. This will protect the waterproof case and cameras from damage. Secondly, it is necessary to open the entire wooden frame with a material that protects against decay, for example, drying oil or varnish.
In order to make a boat, you need to put the frame in the cover, insert the inflated cameras along the edges of the frame and tighten the rope of the cover. The main thing is to stick out the rope loops for oarlocks above the sides. The seats are cameras. The boat is ready for fishing!
