Making invitation cards is an important part of preparing for a festive event. It would seem that it is not so difficult to do without such a formality. After all, you can notify about the place and time of the event by sending an e-mail, SMS or simply calling. But such a notification will make the holiday impersonal and, perhaps, indicate to people that it is not necessary to come. And it is precisely the well-made invitations that will awaken interest in the event and the desire to attend it, will help inform each person individually.
Instructions
Step 1
Decide on the theme of the event. It depends on how the invitation cards will be issued: strictly, officially, modestly, but tastefully or brightly, giving out the holiday atmosphere. There are many reasons for holding the event. And based on the topic, you can roughly imagine the appearance of the invitations. For example, New Year is associated with a Christmas tree and Santa Claus, March 8 - with spring and flowers, a wedding - with rings and a couple in love, Birthday - with cake and candles, scientific conference - with books and presentations, etc. The selected image should be placed on the front of the ticket, it should be bright, clear and eye-catching.
Step 2
Decide whether the invitations should be “clamshell” or rectangular cards. Maybe you show your imagination and make them in the form of hearts, ovals, polygons, etc. The "clamshell" has a colorful picture on the outside, and inside there is text on a white background (thus, you will avoid unnecessary variegation). For cards, the image is placed on the front part, and the circulation is on the back. In this case, the words will look good against some muted background that does not distract the eye. Do not forget about the quality of the paper on which the tickets will be printed. It should be tight enough. Gloss will add solemnity. And the rectangles can even be laminated. This will show the seriousness of the upcoming event.
Step 3
Pay dignified attention to the text. It is necessary to indicate in it the date, time, place of the celebration. It should begin with an appeal to the one you invite. This option is the standard. But it is possible that you will want to step back from it. Then come up with something extraordinary, interesting, distinguishing you from others. For example, use poetry. Such a move will pleasantly surprise people.
Step 4
Remember that handing out your invitation is the first step to starting your event. Taking a ticket in hand, a person understands how serious and solemn you have conceived the event. And, perhaps, this is what will prompt him to decide whether to become your guest or not.
