Most novice guitarists dream of learning to accompany the performance of famous rock and bard songs. Having mastered pop battle, you will be able to play the repertoire of many authors.
Instructions
Step 1
Check for correct fit. Sit on the very edge of the chair with the body of the instrument hanging down, place the guitar with the indentation on your left knee. Straighten your back, do not bend over too much to look at the strings. To control your movements at first, it is better to practice in front of a mirror. The right hand rests on the edge of the soundboard just above the wrist, the left gently holds the neck with a straightened thumb. The right hand is completely relaxed, the thumb is extended and set aside, the other four fingers are parallel to the strings. Move your hand up and down to simulate the movement of a fight.
Step 2
Pop fight - one of the most popular rhythmic patterns - is played with the thumb and forefinger of the right hand. The thumb (in musical terminology it is called pulgar, denoted by the letter P) makes the first downward movement. Run the left side of the pulgar pad over the strings, do not bend or strain your finger too much. The index (index or I) makes the rest of the movements: play up with a pad, down - with the back of a bent finger.
Step 3
The pattern of the pop fight looks like this: down - up - down (muting) - up - down past the strings - up - down (muffling) - up. Do all movements, except the first, as an index. Get started with unmute combat. Move your thumb and forefinger over the open strings in the specified sequence. If it is difficult to play the whole eight, practice first the first four, then the remaining movements, and then connect. Keep the beat, avoid the temptation to start playing quickly right away.
Step 4
Once you've mastered the rhythm, add muffling by pressing all the strings together with your palm or the top of your thumb. Do it quickly, but not abruptly, so that the sound from hitting the index down is not lost. The best workout is to play your favorite songs. By adding the chords "What is Autumn" by DDT or "Phantom" ChiZha, you can easily work out a pop fight.
