A DSLR is the dream of any amateur photographer who seriously wants to take up photography. This device is not cheap, so you have to be very responsible when buying a camera.
Instructions
Step 1
Camera matrix
The most important thing in a DSLR is the image quality, which depends on the matrix. To check that the matrix is working properly, you need to turn off all noise reduction effects, set the sensitivity to the minimum value, turn off automatic focusing and set the manual exposure mode.
Without removing the lens cap, take three shots at different shutter speeds of 1/3 second, 1/60 second, and 3 seconds. If there are no points in the first image, then go to the second image. If you do not find gray, green or red dots on it, then the camera has also passed this stage successfully. The most important one is the long exposure. The norm is the presence of no more than 6 dots of different colors. If there are more such points, then the matrix has faulty pixels and it is better to refuse to buy such a camera.
Step 2
Camera optics
Before checking the optics, enable One shot AF, open the iris fully. Autofocus should be in center metering mode, and the camera itself in aperture priority mode.
Take some pictures of a poster, make sure that the camera is strictly parallel to the plane of the poster. Estimate the angles of the image using the diagonal. If the blur goes smoothly from the center to the edges, then the optics are working fine.
