Step 1
Take measurements of the dog. You will need the length of the back and the girth of the neck. Measure the back length from the collar to the base of the tail. Measure the neck circumference over the collar. Measure the dog's head so that it can walk through the opening. Calculate the loops in the usual way. The main knitting is 1x1 elastic.
Step 2
"Back". The biggest sweater detail. Start knitting with the tail. Cast on 8-9 cm stitches on the needles. After 1 row, make one increase. So knit 8-10 rows. Next, without breaking the thread, make 10 additional loops on one side. Knit a row. Make the same 10 loops on the other side of the product.
Step 3
Collar. Tie the required number of rows to where the collar of the sweater will be. Then evenly decrease 12 stitches. Tie a few rows from the remaining collar loops.
Step 4
Sweater "chest". Cast on 10-12 loops on the needles and tie with an elastic band in front of and part of the collar of the sweater.
Step 5
Sleeves. Cast on 15 sts and knit 1 cm with 1x1 elastic. Make a yarn over on both sides of the sleeve and knit another 1.5 cm. Make a yarn over at each end and knit 2 cm. Close the loops. Tie the second sleeve in the same way.
Step 6
Joining sweater parts. Sew the back and chest with a needle or crochet, leaving slots for the dog's front paws. Sew the sleeves into the slits.
