Clothing for animals not only perfectly protects them from the cold, but also undoubtedly decorates them. Most often, dog owners dress up their pets. After all, they need to be walked in any weather. But it also happens that cats need clothes. By tying a beautiful sleeveless jacket to your pet, you will at the same time protect her from the cold and make her appearance more presentable in society.

knitting needles, threads
Instructions
Step 1
If you are going to knit a sweater for an adult cat, then you need to cast an average of thirty-six loops on the knitting needles. But it would be better to measure the dimensions of your pet. To do this, measure the circumference of the body in front of the front legs and find one third from it. The resulting result in centimeters is what you need to dial with loops on the knitting needles. Usually there are 2 loops per 1 cm. Tie the first few rows (three to five) with an elastic band. Continue to knit the rest of the rows with "front stitch". This will be the bottom of the cat's clothing.
Step 2
From the moment when the knitted fabric will close the shoulder blades, begin to make the loops decrease. To do this, the two outermost loops must be knitted together. Next, you need to knit about another ten centimeters of the fabric. You can make the canvas longer, then rely only on your taste and the length of the animal's body. Then tie the last few rows with a regular elastic band.
Step 3
Now you can move from knitting a fabric for a tummy to knitting a back. To do this, you need to dial already two-thirds of the girth in front of the front legs. Knit the same number of rows with the front stitch with the bottom fabric. Then gradually begin to decrease the loops, as described in the first step. The number of rows on the fabric for the back, tied with a simple elastic band and front satin stitch, should coincide with the number of the same rows on the fabric for the tummy.
Step 4
In the end, it remains only to sew the top of the sweater from the bottom with a knitted seam. Match the color of the threads and connect each row of the bottom and top. The cat sweater is ready.
