Curtain hooks are one of those little things that create coziness, give originality to the interior.
Such a curtain hold-up is suitable for both a classic interior and a more informal one - from boho to "high technology". It all depends on the choice of material and finish.
So, in order to sew a classic curtain hook with your own hands, (the best of all is the same one from which the curtains are sewn, but you can choose another one that matches the color, texture), threads in color, two rings.
1. Make a pattern of the paper support. The diagram shows a reduced version of the pattern, so you need to draw a part of the same shape, but in large sizes, on a newspaper or a large sheet of paper. The overall size of the catch should be approximately 11 x 70 cm. The width and length of the catch can be varied depending on the thickness of the curtain fabric and the look you want, so attach the pattern to your curtains before sewing. Based on the fitting results, increase or decrease the size of the pattern.
it is not necessary to make exactly such a pattern for picking up. A pick-up in the form of a narrow rectangle (wide ribbon) will look quite good.
2. To sew one underhand, cut two identical pieces from the fabric. Don't forget about seam allowances.
3. Fold in the parts, fold them with the wrong sides to each other and sew on the sewing machine.
4. Sew on the narrow edges of the pick-up ring. Instead of rings, you can sew hinged loops from the same fabric.
In order for the grip to keep its shape better, put any thick fabric inside when sewing.
If you want to make a curtain hook more interesting, unusual, decorate it, depending on your skills, with embroidery, applique. The easiest option is to decorate the hold with ready-made fabric flowers or make a pattern of rhinestones and beads on it.
