Plastic bottles that have accumulated at home or in the country can become a wonderful decoration of a personal plot: they can be used to make intricate figures and statues, for example, palm trees.

It is necessary

  • - plastic bottles in brown and green;
  • - scissors;
  • - drill and drills;
  • - metal bar.

Instructions

Step 1

Form the trunk of the palm tree. To do this, take brown bottles and cut off the bottom of each of them at a height of 15-17 cm. The trunk will form from the halves with the bottom: cut their edges with cloves (this will create the effect of barrel roughness). Then, using a drill and a drill, make holes in each element of the barrel, the diameter of which should be equal to the diameter of the metal bar you have chosen. Start assembling the barrel by stringing the prepared brown elements one by one onto the bar (wear the barrel parts with the bottoms down). Then gently peel back the cloves.

Step 2

Use green plastic bottles to make palm leaves. To do this, cut each container in half along its length and make cuts along the edge. Please note that the width of the leaves should be slightly more than half the diameter of the bottle, otherwise the leaves will twist.

Step 3

Secure the green leaves. To do this, leave a neck with a cork on the last green bottle. Drill a hole in the plug, the diameter of which should be equal to the diameter of the metal bar, and insert the assembled barrel. After that, gently press down on all the other leaves.

Step 4

You can also fix the green leaves in another way. To do this, in the upper part of the trunk, make several cross-shaped cuts (their number should correspond to the number of palm leaves). Make cuts in a checkerboard pattern so that the leaf blades do not interfere with each other. Then insert the leaves into these cuts and secure the structure from the inside.

Step 5

Place the harvested palm tree in the location of your choice. This jewelry is not afraid of wind, frost and heavy rain, so it will delight your eyes for a long time.
