Step 1
Record your own composition on a dictaphone or a simple karaoke microphone connected to your computer. In order to create your own melody using an electronic program, for example, such as Anvil Studio, it will take time, during which the melody can be forgotten or distorted. A pre-recorded recording will help refresh the author's memory.
Step 2
Select the "new melody" command from the "file" menu. When an empty staff with one new track appears, select the "create" function in the "track" menu. For beginners, it will be easier to opt for the usual instrumental version of the melody.
Step 3
When starting to write notes directly, pay attention to the musical accompaniment of the melody. Choose a rhythm section that matches your intended motive. Drum or percussion accompaniment will help with determining the rhythm and timing of the music.
Step 4
Specify the desired note, which will be located opposite the image of the piano keyboard. Accordingly, select the length of the sounding note in the duration of the notes.
Step 5
You can save the created melody - the author's midi-file - by choosing the command “save melody as” from the “file” menu.
Subsequent musical compositions, using this program, the author can vary, process and compose with a more detailed study of the instructions or using the assistant embedded in the program itself.
