Do you like dates? Do you know that you can grow a real date palm from an ordinary stone left after a delicious fruit right at home. How? Everything is very simple!
It is necessary
- - date bone
- - cotton wool
- - plate
- - a pot of earth
Instructions
Step 1
Clean the date pits from the pulp residues, if necessary, rinse under the tap. Moisten the cotton wool abundantly with water, place the bone inside and cover it with a second layer on top so that the moisture evaporates more slowly. For germination, date bones need a temperature of 25-30 degrees, so at this stage, a cotton wool with a future date can be put on a plate and put on a battery. Make sure that the cotton wool is always well moisturized.
Step 2
After the bone has swollen enough and hatched, it can be planted in the soil. Submerge the bone vertically to a depth of 1.5-2cm. The pot should be 10-20cm in diameter. Since dates grow rather slowly, a pot of this size will last for a very long time. High temperatures are also required for germination. Place the pot of the future date in a warm place and do not forget to water it regularly.
Step 3
Date palm seeds germinate 1-3 months after planting in a pot. The little one loves moisture and abundant watering. In summer, and especially in winter, with central heating, be sure to spray your palm tree daily.
