The artificial tree will be a great gift for a birthday or New Year. It will also decorate the interior of a nursery or living room. It can be made from different materials, including colored paper. For the first experience, a palm tree is most suitable.

It is necessary

  • - brown paper;
  • - dark green paper;
  • - old wallpaper or newspapers;
  • - a tube for a blank;
  • - a clay pot or papier-mâché vase;
  • - PVA glue;
  • - petroleum jelly;
  • - scissors;
  • - beads, beads, nutshells and other decorative elements.

Instructions

Step 1

To make a barrel, you will need a blank tube. It is best to take metal or plastic (for example, from a vacuum cleaner). Lubricate it with Vaseline to keep the paper from sticking. Spread a large piece of newspaper or old wallpaper on the table and grease the surface with glue, and then wrap it around the tube. Let the future barrel dry and remove the blank. If the paper does stick to metal or plastic, carefully cut the barrel lengthwise with a sharp knife, remove the tube and seal the seam. Cover the barrel with brown paper, preferably velvet paper.

Step 2

Double-sided green paper works best for leaves. Cut 4-8 identical large squares out of it. Their size depends on the height and thickness of the trunk. Bend each square diagonally. Cut off the open edges so that the lines are curly. The options can be different - a concave arc closer to the trunk and a convex one at the edge, rounded open corners, etc. You can even just trim the edges with curly scissors.

Step 3

Hold the sheet by the edge that will be glued into the tube. Smooth the fold line strongly to about the middle of the diagonal. Conversely, bend the other half of the diagonal. The sheet will be curved downward. Bend the rest of the leaves in the same way. Glue them into the tube.

Step 4

You can make leaves from double-sided paper in another way. Cut the paper into long strips 2-5 cm wide. Bend each strip lengthwise and cut it so that it looks like a very long oval. Sharpen the ends. Glue the leaves into the tube and straighten. By the way, a palm tree looks very good, in which the leaves are glued from glossy paper with a glue layer.

Step 5

"Plant" your palm tree in a pot. To keep the tree stable, add plasticine or putty to the pot. You can simply glue the palm tree into a papier-mâché vase.

Step 6

Decorate your palm tree. For example, you can paste over hazelnuts with velvet paper and secure them to the leaves. Walnuts are also suitable for a large palm. In general, everything that your heart desires is suitable for an artificial tree. You can stick matching small beads, villi, flowers, coins, etc. on the trunk and leaves.
