The Christmas tree is an indispensable attribute of the coming New Year. Of course, the most ideal option is a live spruce, but if for some reason you do not want to put it, then you can decorate the interior with the help of a hand-made Christmas tree.

It is necessary

  • - cardboard;
  • - green corrugated paper;
  • - scissors;
  • - compasses;
  • - ruler;
  • - glue;
  • - pencil;
  • - toothpicks;
  • - cotton wool;
  • - multi-colored ribbons;
  • - sparkles;
  • - beads or rhinestones.

Instructions

Step 1

First of all, you need to make the basis for the future tree. To do this, take a cardboard and draw a line 30 cm long in the middle of the sheet, divide it in half and at the 15 cm mark draw a semicircle using a compass (from strip to strip). Cut out the resulting workpiece and shape it into a cone so that the fold falls on the marked middle.

Step 2

Take a sheet of green corrugated paper and wrap a cone around it.

Step 3

Next, we cut out strips 1 cm wide and 15 cm long from corrugated paper in the amount of 120-130 pieces. You can use paper with different shades of green if desired.

Step 4

On each strip, it is necessary to make cuts with a length of slightly more than half the width (the interval between the cuts should be approximately 3-5 mm). Before making cuts, put several strips on top of each other at once - this measure will speed up the process of making a Christmas tree.

Step 5

After all the strips are ready, you can proceed to the most important stage - the creation of needles. To do this, wind each strip on a toothpick, gluing the ends so that it does not unfold. After the glue is completely dry, remove the blanks from the toothpicks.

Step 6

Next, you need to add volume to each roll by fluffing the notched edges. As a result, you should have fluffy pompons.

Step 7

Glue each pompom to the cone. The denser the pom-poms are to each other, the more magnificent and spectacular the New Year's beauty will look.

Step 8

The next step is making decorations for the Christmas tree. To do this, roll a small ball out of cotton wool, slightly moisten it in glue and roll in sparkles. In the same way, make a few more Christmas balls (their number depends only on your desire).

Step 9

Then make bows from multi-colored ribbons, decorating them with beads or rhinestones.

Step 10

Glue the finished decor in the form of bows and balls to the Christmas tree - this must be done in a chaotic manner and from all sides. The top of the tree can be decorated with a large bow or with a homemade star.
