Flowers are a real decoration of the interior. But they have one significant drawback, they fade very quickly. Do-it-yourself artificial flowers made of corrugated paper are not inferior in beauty to living ones and are able to delight for a long time.
Blooming cherry branch
To make this blooming twig, you will need:
- corrugated paper of green, white, light pink shades;
- glue stick;
- scissors;
- wire;
- cotton wool
- a twig without leaves.
Make buds. Cut a few pieces of wire 5 cm long. Wrap a piece of cotton wool around one end (you can use cotton swab rolls instead). Cut squares with sides of 3 cm out of pink paper. Wrap cotton wool around them, giving the shape of a bud.
Cut a strip of green corrugated paper and wrap it tightly around the wire. Make leaflets. Cut the green paper into 5 x 3 cm rectangles, then stack them and cut them out in the form of leaves. Wrap a piece of wire around the wire and fix the edge with glue.
Start making cherry blossoms. Take cream-colored crepe paper. Cut out rectangles 7x3 cm in size, cut one of the wide edges into several parts, not reaching 1 cm to the edge and twist the resulting stripes into flagella. Wrap the strip around a piece of wire. Cut out 5x3 cm rectangles from white paper and round the edges so that you get petal-shaped details. Glue 4-5 petals to the blanks with stamens and wrap the wire with green paper.
Combine 2-3 buds and several cherry blossoms into a composition and attach them to the branch. Wrap the wire tightly around the base. Decorate the attachment point with green corrugated paper strips.
Apple blossom
To complete this craft, you will need the same materials as for making a cherry blossom sprig.
Cut 5x5 cm squares out of light pink and white paper. Draw a flower with five petals on one of them. Stack them together so that the template with the painted part is at the top and cut out all the blanks.
Cut a few pieces of wire and wrap a small cotton ball around the tip of each. Wrap it in cream-colored paper. Then pierce the flower blank with the other end and pull it to the middle of the flower. Lightly press the underside of the flower against the wire and secure with glue. Then wrap this part tightly with a strip of green corrugated paper to simulate a sepal.
Connect several apple flowers, twist the wire. Tie them to a dry branch. Decorate the attachment point with a strip of brown corrugated paper in the same tone as the bark.
