Today I will tell you how to make such a wonderful board. The embossed pattern of vine leaves repeats the pattern of the cockerel feathers in the center of the composition. The vine symbolizes wealth and prosperity.

It is necessary

  • Cutting board
  • Napkin
  • Color transfer tattoo
  • Transfer tattoo golden
  • Glossy transparent varnish
  • Gold acrylic paint
  • Marker

Instructions

Step 1

To decoupage the board, take a napkin with a picture of a vine, which has a relief and 2 layers. First, cut out the image of the vine and wine as close to the edge as possible. It will not be possible to completely cut out, since small parts will break - the mustache of grapes and curls. Separate the top layer of the napkin from the bottom.

Step 2

We take a universal glossy varnish (I have this Vixen spray varnish from a hardware store) and spray it into another jar - it is more convenient to work with a brush for gluing a napkin. We smear the surface of the board with a fairly thick layer of varnish using a large brush.

Now we glue our drawing. A thick layer of varnish was necessary, since the napkin has a relief and therefore is more difficult to stick, therefore, in our case more varnish will be required.

Step 3

After the napkin was stuck, remnants of the white background became visible.

We take a small stationery knife and cut out the remnants of the background along the contour, so it can be easily removed

Step 4

We process the board with sanding paper if there are unwanted patterns (for example, wood burning).

It is important to highlight the borders with a marker, where the drawing will be located, and where - the golden border and frame. We retreat 1.5 cm to the right and left, 1 cm above and below without indentation.

Step 5

On top of the relief of the napkin, let's walk with a piece of foam rubber with gold paint - I had mother-of-pearl acrylic (Aqua-Color LLC) - so the relief will become much more noticeable!

Now we proceed to the design of transferable tattoos. Cut out, remove the protective film and apply the images face down. Press the transfer tattoo firmly on top with a cotton pad moistened with water, pressing tightly. After that, remove the paper and wait for 10 minutes to dry. If you do not wait for it to dry and immediately begin to varnish, the image may float and creep.

Step 6

We fix it on top with varnish from a distance of about 25 cm, avoiding drips and shaking the varnish before that. We cover with varnish in 3 layers with drying of each layer for 15 minutes.
