Instructions
Step 1
Choose a pattern that you will apply to the dishes. Do not try to use as many shades as possible, two or three well-chosen colors will look much more interesting than variegation. Try what your chosen combination will look like on a piece of white paper.
Step 2
For this work you need a thick, round brush with a fine tip. It is convenient for her to draw both leaves and flower petals, and to draw a contour. But before you start working, be sure to practice so that, when working directly with the dishes, you do not waste time reworking the wrong smear. Draw on white paper. First, learn to draw a straight, straight line with the thin tip of the brush. Then learn to draw petals and leaves. Start drawing the petal from a thin line, gradually flatten the brush to get a wide stroke, and again collect the stroke into one narrow line.
Step 3
Get started with the dishes. Degrease the surface of the plate or mug with alcohol. Start working with light tones, gradually move to darker ones. To achieve a smooth transition between colors, use a brush dampened with water. When the main drawing is ready, add expressive details using the outline. It can be black, bronze or silver, depending on the chosen pattern.
Step 4
Dry the painted product in a horizontal position, being careful not to get dust on wet paints. Be sure to secure your drawing. Ceramic paints are divided into two groups: cold and hot. Cold curing paints are not heat treated. The dried pattern is covered on top with a persistent transparent varnish, for example, acrylic.
Step 5
If you have chosen hot-curing ceramic paints for your work, carefully read the instructions for the paints. This type is more stable in further use, but requires more attention in work. Place the painted firing product only in a cold oven. The plate or mug should also cool down together with the oven, with a gradual decrease in temperature. A sharp drop will lead to cracks in the finished drawing, and over time, the drawing will simply peel off.
