The Chinese - "descendants of the dragon" - associate the image of a fire-breathing lizard with dignity, spiritual and physical strength. During the dance demonstration, a team of fifty people raises the figure of a dragon above their heads, holding it on poles. The dancers seem to infuse life into a lifeless body, forcing the dragon to make wave-like movements.
