Everyone who decides to take up pair ballroom dancing will not only enjoy the dance itself, but also the opportunity to strengthen his body. Ballroom dancing significantly improves the functioning of the respiratory and cardiovascular systems. In addition, dancing has a positive effect on a person's appearance. The one who deals with them will always stand out from the crowd with an easy, graceful gait and a proud, beautiful posture.

Latin American dances are based on energetic movements of the hips, which contributes to the formation of a thin waist and a beautiful hip line. The more a person is engaged in dancing, the more freedom of movement he acquires. And, of course, ballroom dances cheer up, give a boost of vivacity and energy.

Ballroom dances are paired, so girls or ladies of an elegant age who decide to do them should take care to find a partner for themselves. In schools and ballroom dance studios, there are always not enough men, so ladies who have not found partners for themselves have to dance alone or with each other.

Ballroom dance training program

At the first stage of training, beginner dancers master individual dance movements. Then comes the study of dance compositions, the complexity of which gradually increases.

Traditionally, schools and ballroom dance studios study 8 basic dances that are part of the European and Latin American program. These are slow waltz, tango, Viennese waltz, fast foxtrot, samba, rumba, cha-cha-cha, and jive. Then slow foxtrot and paso doble are added to them. There are also schools or studios specializing only in Latin American dances.

Clothes and footwear for ballroom dancing

Before starting pair ballroom dancing classes, you need to take care of purchasing comfortable clothes and shoes. Soft shoes with low heels are suitable as training shoes for dancing. Since ballroom dancing is performed on the floor, the shoes must be appropriate. Shoes with a plastic sole will not work - they will slide on the parquet, and a rubber sole will not work - it will be impossible to rotate on it. A leather or suede sole can be ideal.

Dancewear should be made of natural fabrics so that the body can "breathe" in it. In addition, it should not hinder movement, so it is advisable to wear a T-shirt and a flared skirt at least below the knee. Those who are seriously interested in dancing and want to take part in competitions will need expensive, spectacular costumes in the future.

In any case, whether a person wants to receive prizes at different levels of competitions or to dance just for the soul, ballroom dancing will fill his life with joy, beauty and harmony.
