Cupid is perhaps the main symbol of Valentine's Day. This kind character is perfect for decorating a homemade valentine. In order not to spoil the already finished postcard, first it is better to practice drawing Cupid on a regular album sheet.
Instructions
Step 1
First you need to sketch out the head. To do this, draw a circle with a simple pencil and draw guidelines for the location of the eyes, nose and lips. At the same time, you should not press too hard on the pencil - the lines should turn out to be thin, so that in case of failure, you can easily correct the mistake.
Step 2
Next, we draw an oval, which in the future will be the body of Cupid. It is customary to portray this character as a slightly fat baby, so you should not skimp on volumes.
Step 3
Now you can start sketching the hands. To do this, draw two small ovals crossing each other on each side of the body. Draw a circle on the outer ovals, which will be a brush.
Step 4
Then, using the same principle, we make sketches for the legs - we draw two intersecting ovals, on which we “attach” two more small oval-shaped figures (later they are transformed into feet).
Step 5
You can start detailing the features of the face and head. We draw big eyes, chubby cheeks, a smiling mouth and nose with potatoes. Also on Cupid's head we create a shock of curly hair.
Step 6
Next, we proceed to the formation of the body, outlining its contour and depicting additional folds, fingers, feet and wing feathers. Also, do not forget to draw a weapon for a well-aimed shooter - in the boy's left hand we draw a bow, and in the right - an arrow with a heart-shaped tip.
Step 7
We outline the finished image of Cupid with a thin black marker or felt-tip pen to give the drawing a more professional look.
Step 8
With the help of an eraser, we remove the sketches made with a simple pencil, and then color the image using pastel colors, which are the embodiment of tenderness and serenity.
