In order to design a beautiful original postcard or create a festive poster for Valentine's Day, sometimes you need to draw the attributes of this holiday, for example, hearts or cupid. And if usually there are no problems with hearts, drawing a cherub - a little plump boy with a bow and arrow - is much more difficult. However, following the above sequence, you can easily draw a cupid yourself.
It is necessary
- - a blank sheet of paper;
- - pencil;
- - eraser;
- - compass and ruler;
- - colored pencils or pens;
- - brushes and paints;
- - markers.
Instructions
Step 1
Using a compass, draw two nearly identical circles (the top circle is slightly smaller). Carefully, using thin pencil lines, redraw the main elements of the figure: palms (so far in the form of circles), the outlines of the legs and the curved part of the bow, the arrow and the upper oval of the wings. Try to keep all the proportions and direction of the lines indicated on the sample. Remember that any mistake at the very beginning of drawing can significantly affect the final result.
Step 2
Draw the face of the future Cupid - eyes, smiling mouth, nose with potatoes. Contour the face, outline the cheek from the eye to the chin, add the chin and ears. The face is the most important part of the baby, so draw with very thin pencil lines so that they can be easily erased in case of failure.
Step 3
Add lush hair, shaggy or curly, as you like. Circle the tummy and left arm. Then draw the legs, the simplest ones can be, but with a heel and three fingers. Finish the outlines of the body, finish drawing the second handle and place an arrow in the left hand. Be sure to draw a heart at the end of the arrow.
Step 4
Circle the curved part of the bow (you can make a smoother outline with a compass) and connect the ends with a ruler. Draw the wings. Both the wings and the bow are behind the baby, so carefully erase all the lines that intersect the cupid.
Step 5
If something doesn't work out, don't be discouraged, try again and again. Keep your enthusiasm and be patient, sooner or later you will be able to draw a cute cupid. As soon as you are satisfied with the result, circle all the contours with a thick black felt-tip pen or pencil and proceed to the next step.
Step 6
The most interesting step is to color the cherub with paints, crayons or pens. Make your hair yellow or red, the whole body light pink, or leave it white. Color in Cupid's panties, bow and arrows. Do not make the baby too colorful, it is better to use pastel soft colors.
