Slime is a very popular toy for both children and teenagers. Some adults love to play with this consistency too. Most often, in order to make a slime, glue and borax are used. But you can do without these components.
It is necessary
- Shampoo.
- Salt.
- Corn starch.
- Water.
- Toothpaste.
- Plastic bowl.
- Shower gel.
- The spoon.
Instructions
Step 1
To make a slime, find the thickest shampoo in your apartment. Pour a small amount into a plastic bowl. Shower gel can be added if desired. But in this case, it should be similar in color to the shampoo. The ratio of ingredients should be 1: 1. Mix everything until smooth.
Step 2
Gradually add 1 pinch of salt to the shampoo. It is impossible to say exactly how much will be needed, as each shampoo reacts completely differently. Stir the mixture after each addition and stop only when the shampoo thickens and shrinks into a lump.
Step 3
Place the bowl with the future slime in the freezer for 15 minutes. After the expiration of time, you can get the slime and start playing.
Step 4
After you or your kids have played with the slime, place it in a clean container. And if the slime has become too liquid in consistency, then place it again in the freezer for 15 minutes.
Step 5
Another way to make a slime at home from shampoo is to add toothpaste to it. In a bowl, combine the two in equal amounts and mix. As a result, a reaction will occur and the mixture will begin to acquire a gel-like form. If the slime turns out to be too liquid, then increase the amount of toothpaste, and if it is too hard, then you will have to add a little more shampoo.
Step 6
A shampoo and toothpaste slime won't be as sticky as a store-bought slime, but it's just as fun to play with.
Step 7
Another way to make a slime without glue is to add cornstarch. Take 120 ml of 2 in 1 shampoo or any other shampoo with a thick consistency. You can add glitter if you like. They will be an effective addition to the toy. Stir the mixture well.
Step 8
Add 280g corn starch. It is best to use a sieve when adding it if possible. This will help avoid clumps. If you can't find cornstarch, you can use flour from the same culture.
Step 9
Mix thoroughly. If you wanted to get a thick slime, then at this stage you can stop and start playing.
Step 10
If your goal is to make the slime slimy and liquid, then start adding 15 ml of water. The maximum can be used up to 90 ml. Stir the mixture well each time and stop at the moment when you think that the slime has acquired the perfect consistency.
